Red Painting
In this painting, I explore the tension between presence and absence, using vibrant colors and overlapping forms to investigate the complexity of human relationships and the spaces we inhabit. The deep red background dominates the canvas, creating a sense of intensity and urgency, while the figures, partially abstracted and fragmented, suggest a narrative that is both intimate and elusive.
The use of red is intentional, symbolizing passion, energy, and perhaps even conflict, serving as a backdrop against which the figures’ emotions and interactions are played out. The figures are rendered in varying degrees of opacity and solidity, representing the fluid nature of identity and the ways in which we reveal or conceal parts of ourselves in different contexts.
Through this work, I aim to evoke a sense of ambiguity and duality, encouraging viewers to engage with the narrative not just as an external observer but as participants who bring their own experiences and interpretations to the piece. The interplay of color, form, and space is a metaphor for the complexity of human emotions and the often-complicated dynamics of our connections with others.

Surrender
These artworks explore the human form in states of motion and repose, emphasizing the fluidity and strength inherent in the body. Through a vivid palette and bold, gestural lines, the figures are rendered in dynamic poses that challenge traditional representations of stillness and action.
Together, these works explore themes of resilience, aspiration, and the delicate balance between control and surrender. The use of abstracted forms and vibrant colors not only captures the physicality of the human body but also conveys the emotional and psychological states that accompany moments of tension, release, and transformation. Through these compositions, the viewer is invited to reflect on their own experiences of movement, balance, and the pursuit of inner strength.

Good Feelings
This painting explores the dynamic interplay between form, color, and identity within the context of the human body. This interplay is further accentuated by revealed process of the painting from the first sketches to the final stages. By utilizing abstracted lines and fragmented color fields, the figures are rendered both familiar and distant, emphasizing the tension between the physical presence of the body and its perception.
The use of vibrant, contrasting colors accentuates the emotional undertones of the composition. The figures, though devoid of detailed facial features, convey a strong sense of identity and narrative through their posture and the relationships they seem to share with one another. The compositions oscillate between abstraction and representation, inviting viewers to question the nature of identity, intimacy, and the physicality of human connection.
The layering of brushstrokes and the interplay of light and shadow further enhance the sense of depth and complexity, suggesting that identity is not a static concept but rather a dynamic process of becoming. This work challenges the viewer to reconsider the ways in which bodies and identities are constructed and perceived in both art and life.
Ultimately, this piece serves as a meditation on the fluidity of form and the myriad ways in which we relate to our own bodies and to each other.

I am a Woman
This work is a reflection on the concept of visibility—how we see ourselves, how we are seen by others, and the spaces in between that remain hidden. Through these images, I invite the viewer to confront their own perceptions of the body, challenging conventional ideals and encouraging a deeper understanding of human vulnerability and resilience.
The use of warm, intense colors juxtaposed with cooler tones serves to emphasize the duality of the inner and outer self, highlighting the complexity of self-perception and the tension between societal standards and personal identity. The brushwork is intentionally loose and expressive, aiming to capture the raw, unfiltered essence of the figure, while the choice of composition seeks to draw attention to the body’s natural curves and imperfections, celebrating them as a form of beauty and strength.

Figure Studies
This series of paintings delves into the raw and unfiltered exploration of the human form, capturing moments of vulnerability, contemplation, and presence. Each piece in this collection is a study in the complexity of human emotion as conveyed through the physical body, using expressive brushstrokes and a bold, often muted color palette to highlight the subject’s inner life.
The figures depicted are presented in moments of repose, their postures suggesting a deep internal dialogue. The rough, almost sculptural application of paint reflects the tension between the solidity of the body and the fluidity of thought. By embracing the imperfections and asymmetries of the human form, these works reject idealized representations in favor of a more honest and intimate portrayal of the individual.
The muted tones and the occasional use of vibrant color draw attention to the emotional undercurrents within each piece. The figures are grounded in their environment yet seem to be caught in a moment of reflection, their gaze often turned inward. This inward focus invites viewers to engage with the psychological depth of the subjects, pondering what thoughts, memories, or emotions might be occupying their minds.
Each painting in this series is a meditation on the human condition, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and the passage of time. The figures, though seemingly static, convey a sense of ongoing personal narrative, one that is shaped by the viewer’s interpretation and the artist’s intention.
Through this work, I aim to capture the beauty of the human form in its most authentic state, celebrating the imperfections and the stories that are etched into every line, curve, and shadow. These paintings are not just representations of the body, but visual narratives that speak to the complexities of being human.
