The challenge

Building owners had no centralized view of energy data. The problem wasn't a lack of data — it was too much. Dense, multi-layered records had to become legible, navigable and actually useful.

Approach

  1. 01Anchored the design in information architecture — properties, projects, funding, measures, support tickets, all in one mental map.
  2. 02Designed dashboards that surface signal over noise, with progressive depth for power users.
  3. 03Integrated Salesforce Chatter for two-way stakeholder communication without breaking the visual system.

My role

I led this project end-to-end across a tight two-month window. I refined requirements with DCAS stakeholders, ran the IA work (content audits, card sorts, tree tests), then drove wireframes, clickable desktop and mobile prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups — presenting through multiple rounds of stakeholder and end-user workshops. I partnered with engineering on feasibility throughout and supported the build cycle with ongoing design QA.
